GNSS ATTACKS AND
COUNTERMEASURES
GNSS ATTACKS AND
COUNTERMEASURES
Date: 19-20 August 2025
Time: 0930-1700
Venue: Copthorne King's Hotel
Synopsis:
“Your GPS is lying to you. And someone did it on purpose.”
It started with a ship in the Black Sea reporting that its GPS location had mysteriously shifted, showing it was parked at a nearby airport… while it was clearly still at sea. The crew was confused. The equipment checked out. But dozens of other vessels suddenly reported the same glitch. Was it a bug?
No. It was spoofing.
That incident wasn’t isolated. From drones being hijacked mid-flight to entire fleets rerouted by invisible hands, GNSS attacks have moved from theory to battlefield. They are happening now, and the tools to carry them out are cheap, portable, and increasingly effective.
Join this course to learn the various jamming and spoofing techniques and also the countermeasures to detect and mitigate jamming and spoofing attacks. A novel AI based Spoofing Detection technique will also be discussed.
Don't just navigate - own it.
