Synopsis:
This 2-day introductory course explores into the science, strategy, and future of directed energy and drone warfare. From high-energy lasers and microwave systems to swarming drones and anti-drone countermeasures, participants will discover the rapidly shifting balance of power between aerial threats and energy-based defence.
Participants will gain a good foundation in the principles of laser and HPM systems, understand how they are used to detect, track, and neutralize drones, and explore the technical challenges involved in real-world deployments. The course provides a well-rounded view of both offensive and defensive strategies in this rapidly evolving domain. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge to understand the deployment and development of DE solutions in operational or research settings.
